We may also receive professional contact information through referrals, networking and publicly available business sources. Our website or hosting provider may process technical information, such as IP addresses and security logs; confirm the precise details with the developer.

4. Why we use information and our lawful bases

We use contact and enquiry information to respond to requests, discuss business requirements and arrange introductions where appropriate. Depending on the circumstances, our lawful basis is our legitimate interests in operating and developing our business, or steps requested before entering into a contract with an individual. We may also process information to comply with legal obligations. Where consent is legally required, including for certain electronic marketing or non-essential cookies, we will seek it. We will document the appropriate basis for each activity.

7. Cookies and analytics

RSG does not currently plan to use Google Analytics. However, the website may use essential cookies and technical services. The developer should confirm whether any analytics, embedded content, advertising tools or other non-essential cookies operate. Where legally required, we will obtain consent before using non-essential cookies and provide clear cookie information.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information. Some hosting or email providers may process data outside the UK. Where applicable, we will ensure that an appropriate lawful transfer mechanism is in place. Confirm provider locations and safeguards before publishing.

Subject to legal conditions and exemptions, you may have rights to access, correct or erase your data; restrict or object to processing; request portability; and withdraw consent where relied upon. You can object to direct marketing at any time. Contact briony@rsgroupuk.co.uk to make a request.

11. Complaints

If you have concerns, please contact us first. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk.
